Terms of Use

Last updated 15 July 2026

These terms govern your use of the Tari app and website ("Tari"). By creating an account or using Tari you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Tari.

1. What Tari is — and is not

Tari is a documentation assistant, not a clinical decision-maker. AI in Tari drafts, extracts and suggests; the clinician reviews, edits and confirms every entry. You are the author of your records. Tari does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment recommendations, and it is not a substitute for professional judgement.

2. Who may use Tari

Tari is intended for healthcare professionals and theatre-team members. You must provide accurate registration details and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account, and for enabling appropriate device security (we recommend the app lock).

3. Patient information

You confirm that you are entitled to record and process the patient information you capture in Tari, and that you use the sharing features only with people entitled to receive that information. Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Acceptable use

5. Availability and changes

Tari is under active development. Features may change, and the service may be unavailable at times (for example during maintenance or network outages). Capture is designed to keep working offline; AI and sync features need a connection. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

6. Intellectual property

Tari, its design, code and branding remain the property of the Tari team. The content you capture is yours; you grant us only the limited rights needed to store, encrypt, process and sync it on your instruction.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Tari is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tari team is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from reliance on unverified AI output, from claims submitted to funders, or from your breach of these terms. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of its courts.
